We collect our natural latex from small, certified organic farmers in Sri Lanka. The harvesting process does not damage the tree, or require any part of the tree to be removed or cut down.
Not only do these amazing trees provide latex, they also help offset any carbon dioxide released from production.

What is 'organic latex'?
Quite simply, organic latex is the highest quality natual latex on the market. It is extracted (or tapped) from rubber trees and molded into natural products under strict environmental and social guidelines.
These guidelines are established by governing bodies such as the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS). Organic latex must be chemical free and harvested from trees that haven't been treated with pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
The production process itself must be environmentally friendly and traceable from the plantation to the customer.Â
What is a natural latex pillow?
Our natural latex contour pillow is made from the sap of rubber trees, which is processed and made into a foam-like material. Natural latex is known for its durability, breathability, and resistance to dust mites and mold.
How and where are your pillows made?
RestOrganic is a family run business with a dedicated production facility in Sri Lanka. Our organic natural latex is sourced locally from farmers who don't use pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The latex is then poured into molds to produce the various shapes and sizes of our pillows.
Finally, a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover is sewn to enclose each pillow. The finished product is then shipped directly to you, free of charge, from our facility.Â
How is a natural latex pillow different from a memory foam pillow?
One of the main differences is the material itself. Natural latex is made from the sap of the rubber tree, whereas memory foam is made from synthetic materials like polyurethane. This means that natural latex is a more sustainable, renewable resource that is biodegradable and eco-friendly, whereas memory foam is a synthetic, petroleum-based material that is not biodegradable and can release harmful chemicals during it's lifetime.
Another difference is the support and comfort provided by each material. Natural latex is known for its ability to contour to the body, while still providing support and pressure relief. This makes it a popular choice for people with neck or back pain.
Breathability is another important factor to consider. Natural latex is less dense and allows air to flow freely, which helps keep you cool and comfortable throughout the night. Memory foam, on the other hand is dense, and retains heat and moisture, which may lead to discomfort and sweating.
Natural latex is also generally considered to be more durable than memory foam, meaning that a natural latex pillow may last longer and provide better value for money in the long run.
How long will my organic latex pillow last?
Organic latex pillows are known for their durability and can last for several years with proper care. They are also naturally resistant to dust mites, mould and mildew, which can extend the life of your pillow.
How do I care for my organic latex pillow?
To care for your organic latex pillow, use a pillow protector and wash it regularly. You should also wash the removable cotton cover.
Avoid exposing the pillow to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Also, try to avoid getting the pillow wet as latex is not water-resistant.
What if I am not happy with my product?
We're always trying to make our pillows better and appreciate any feedback. If you're not completely satisfied with your pillow, we'd be happy to return or exchange it within 100 days - no questions asked. Please note we can only refund a maximum of 3 pillows per order.
